G. Kent Knight
Kent is President of Arvada Pump Company and is responsible for overall Company management. He has worked in all facets from pump applications, sales engineer, financing, safety management and compliance, insurance, contracts and customer education. He has over 45 years of experience working directly for a major pump manufacturer, supporting distributors, direct engineered sales, and management for Arvada Pump.
He oversees major contracts with various government agencies and commercial clients. He has hands on field experience including installation, operation and maintenance, as well as system optimization to minimize energy consumption. He provides technical expertise and training for employees and clients. Kent has developed and presented pump application and systems operation courses for engineers; he also teaches continuing education classes on pumps, operation, and industrial equipment and controls.
Kent has been with Arvada Pump for 37 years. He is certified in OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations, Certified as Supervisor for Hazardous Waste Operations, Confined Space Entry, Field Startup of Pumps and Controls, Safelands, PEC Safety, CPR and First Aid. He holds a current Colorado Water Well Contractor license and is a graduate of Colorado State University.
Scott Pekas
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SPECIALIST
Scott is an electro-mechanical technician servicing pumps, motors, and associated equipment. After serving in the U. S. Military, Scott worked with his father and eventually became the owner of an excavating company. His company contracted water and sewer repairs for commercial, residential, and municipal clients. He joined Arvada Pump and has seven years of experience working with pumps, motors, piping, and controls. He is also experienced in heavy equipment operation, hauling and is DOT qualified. He provides shop and field service, plus installation, maintenance and repairs for pump installations. He is trained to rebuild pumps, motors and mechanical systems. As a result of his pervious business experience he is trained in all aspects of project management and safety compliance.
He inspects and analyzes equipment, provides electrical integrity checks, periodic re-lubrication, pump and motor alignment, etc. He works for all clients including chemical and pharmaceutical firms, municipal water and wastewater, commercial properties and industrial clients.
He is certified in OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations, Confined Space Entry, PEC Safety, CPR and First Aid. He is a graduate of Arvada West High School and University of Phoenix Professional Development Courses.
Teresa Scaggiari
SECRETARY TREASURER
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & PAYABLE / NOTARY
Teresa has five years of experience with Arvada Pump Company and has grown into the role of Secretary Treasurer of the company. Teresa manages vendor and client accounts, banking transactions, disbursement, invoicing and payroll. She prepares accounting reports, supervises receivables, manages sales taxes and interfaces with reporting agencies. She enjoys wearing many hats and assists customers, vendors and employees with a high attention to detail.
